Microneedling
Microneedling” is what many call “collagen induction therapy,” or the “vampire facial”, credited to the Kardashians. The SavvyDerm Skin Clinic uses a microneedling device called the SkinPen® to activate the skin’s natural healing process and stimulate collagen and elastin production. The SkinPen penetrates the skin’s surface, triggering a natural immune response to disinfect, remove debris, increase blood flow, and activate the creation of new tissue. The micro-channels created are rebuilt with new collagen and elastin. Increased collagen and elastin improve skin quality, visibly reducing facial acne scars and neck wrinkles, leaving skin more smooth, radiant, and younger-looking.
Microneedling stimulates your skin's healing process, so it produces more collagen and elastin which keep your skin firm and smooth.
This treatment breaks down scar tissue and stimulates new collagen production to improve the appearance of mild to severe acne scars.
Microneedling will help break up the discoloration and promote healthy cell and collagen production to minimize the appearance of melasma and pigmentation.
Anyone who is looking to improve their texture, pigmentation, fine lines, and/or acne scarring. Microneedling is not for patients with active acne.
